The City of Mesquite Public Arts Council is proud to announce the creation of two honorary literary positions beginning in Fall 2026: the Mesquite Poet Laureate and the Junior Poet Laureate. These roles celebrate Mesquite’s commitment to arts, culture, creativity, and community storytelling. Both Laureates will serve as cultural ambassadors, using poetry to inspire residents, elevate community events, and highlight the diverse voices that shape our region.
