Call for Submissions:  The Art Box Podcast presents Harvest of Thought, a celebration of the Written Word

Due to the great response we received to our original call for submissions, we have decided to expand our categories to allow more writers to share their work.

We are currently accepting submissions in the following categories:

Short form (no longer than six minutes to read).  There’s no specific theme, just share whatever stirs your heart, sparks your curiosity, or feels timely for you. Whether it’s whimsical, poignant,     reflective, or bold, we want to hear your voice and kindly avoid political content.

At the start of your recording, include:

• Your name
   
• The title of your essay
   
• Optionally, feel free to mention your website or social media handle.
   

You may choose from the following recording options:

• Schedule a session in our Mesquite Works STEAM Center recording studio
   
• Call in for a phone recording session
   
• Or record on your phone’s voice memo app and email the file to us at artboxvv@gmail.com

We welcome you to contribute your original poetry to our Harvest of Thought podcast series. Please keep your reading to four minutes or less, and kindly refrain from political content. Feel free to read someone else's poem if you have permission or if the author is unknown.

We’re excited to feature your voice and poetry!

Short stories limited to 750 words or less.  We are promoting a humanities theme for these submissions, so your work must include some mention of the humanities but it does not need to be the central focus of your story.  In other words, you can do anything from writing a story around a humanities-based subject to just having a character show up carrying a humanities textbook.  The only limit is your imagination!

500 words on any topic or subject.  What's on your mind?

 We’re an all-volunteer project, so while we’re unable to offer payment, we can offer something meaningful: your voice will reach a global audience of listeners across all 50 states and more than 75 countries. Most importantly, we truly value your heartfelt words and the spirit you bring to this series.
